Project Lead– HR/Payroll Web Software

Dapodi, Pune

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and oversee software product development projects to ensure successful releases within defined budget, timeline, and quality metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and support, to align development efforts with business goals.
Lead and motivate a team of 25+ members while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
Monitor project performance using earned value management (EVM) and ensure recovery of project schedules in case of deviations.
Manage project estimates, ensuring accurate scope, effort, and cost predictions.
Engage with stakeholders, providing timely updates and addressing concerns effectively.
Drive the implementation of Agile methodologies to optimize team performance and project delivery.
Utilize tools such as Jira, MS Project, and AI/automation to streamline project workflows and reporting.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- Total Experience: 10 years.
- Development Expertise: 5-6 years as a software developer.
- Project Management: 3-4 years managing software projects, including:
  - At least two small-sized projects (~30 person-months each).
  - At least one medium-sized project (~60 person-months).
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in:
- Software development for Cloud and mobile platforms using AWS, Java, SQL, CI/CD pipelines.
- UI frameworks and UX tools.
Project Management Skills:
- Estimation, earned value management, schedule recovery, risk assessment, and mitigation.
- Team building, talent management, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with AI-driven tools and automation.
Methodology: Strong experience in Agile practices, including Scrum and Kanban.
Certifications: PMP certification is mandatory.
